Writings / Exploring the world of Blender

Most of us learn by copying others first. I did the same with Blender, following YouTube tutorials step by step to understand the tool and build basic confidence.

These were two of the pieces I made while learning that way.

The jump from imitation to making something original was much harder than I expected. For the first time, I had to think about lighting, materials, and modeling as creative decisions, not just steps to repeat.

Tutorials had helped me learn Blender as a tool. Original work forced me to understand what actually makes a 3D artifact feel intentional and beautiful.

Over time, project by project, those pieces started to click.

Chef
Compass

I still learn from others, but now I use tutorials as references, not recipes. The real growth came when I began making decisions on my own.
